FFE performs in Orlando

Findlay's First Edition traveled to Orlando, Florida and performed at Heart of America and Disney Springs. During the Heart of America National Show Choir Competition, the group placed 4th in their prelims performance. Following an intense rehearsal before finals and adjustment based on judges' critiques, FFE placed 3rd overall in the finals. Additionally, the group won caption awards for "Best Costumes" and "Most Improved." "I am so proud of our students, the entire creative team, and our FFE parents," said Director David Coolidge. "This was a year of enormous transition and our success was only possible because of the entire team's dedication to hand work, supporting each other, and a deep love for this organization." On Sunday, students got the opportunity to bring show choir to the big stage and perform at Disney Springs. To end the trip, students experienced Disney's Magic Kingdom on Sunday and Disney's Hollywood Studios on Monday. "Even more so than the accolades, we are proud of the way our students continue to mature into respectful, thoughtful members of society," Coolidge said. "Whether it's a simple thank you to our bus drivers, or an impromptu singing of our ballad "Impossible Dream" for the entire restaurant at Disney Springs, our students are excellent ambassadors for Findlay City Schools and the Findlay community. We are so grateful for the community's support of FFE. We feel the community's love and support and I believe our students did Findlay proud both on stage and off."
