WAYNE 11FINDLAY 0FINDLAY – Anthony Wayne standout Molly Conner kept Findlay's bat quiet but made some noise of her own in leading the Generals to an 11-0 win over the Trojans on Monday in a Northern Lakes League softball game at Babcock Field.Conner and Piper Phillips combined to pitch the shutout. Offensively, Conner and Megan Sumner went yard for Anthony Wayne, a benchmark program of Northwest Ohio softball that has gone 114-13 and made three state tournament appearances over the past four seasons. Conner, Phillips and Sumner are returning veterans from a team that went 14-0 in NLL games last season, 29-2 overall and reached the Division I state semifinals.Anthony Wayne, which outhit Findlay 12-5 and backed Conner with errorless defense, jumped to a quick 4-0 lead in Monday's game an added another four-run rally in the third inning. A three-run sixth and solid pitching in the bottom of the inning completed the six-inning win that upped the Generals record to 4-0 overall, 2-0 in the NLL.Findlay had a three-game win streak snapped and is 3-2 overall, 0-2 in NLL play.
