Findlay scores 7 in sixth, topples Whitmer

BASEBALL FINDLAY 14WHITMER 4FINDLAY – Reece Stillings overcame a rocky start to pitch six strong innings and Findlay rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to beat Toledo Whitmer 14-5 on Monday in a Northern Lakes League game at Woody Curlis Field.Whitmer scored three runs in the top of the first inning, but Stillings gave up just two more runs the rest of the way. The junior right-hander walked two and struck out five.Landon Echelberry (1B, 2B) and Jacob Gebhardt (2-1B) both drove in three runs for Findlay. Ryan Boes had two doubles and three hits overall.Steffes had a two-run double in the first inning and added RBI doubles in the second and fourth as the Trojans built an 16-2 lead.Addelyn Sprang (2 RBI), Davinee Harris (3 RBI) and Delaney Harris had a double and a single each.
