Celina edges Findlay in softball

SOFTBALL CELINA 9FINDLAY 8FINDLAY – Findlay's late comeback bid fell just short on Friday in the Trojans 9-8 softball loss to Celina.Celina built an 8-1 lead before Findlay scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, The Trojans tacked on four more in the sixth before Celina starter Colbey Kinney, who had two hits and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs (15-3), set Findlay down in the seventh.Addelyn Sprang singled, homered and drove in four runs for Findlay. The home run was the record-tying eighth of the season and 15th of her career. FHS softball records, however, only go back to the 1993 season.Natalie Steffes had a double, a triple and a home run.
