Emily Keener gets standing ovation from judges on 'The Voice'

The first all-judge standing ovation of Monday night's episode of "The Voice" went to Wakeman's own young star, Emily Keener.Last week on NBC's vocal competition show, 17-year-old was saved by her coach, Pharrell Williams."Emily, congrats on your performance last week," the singer, songwriter and producer told Keener during their practice session. "I used my save on you because I want America to see what I see in you.""Your belief in me makes me feel more confident," Keener responded. "I don't think I've ever been more grateful."Keener's father joined her for the practice session, something that meant a great deal to the blooming artist."I feel really great. I got to bring my dad out to meet Pharell and that meant so much to me," Keener said. "My dad's been a big influence on me."This week, Keener chose to perform Jeff Buckley's "Lilac Wine." This song shows deeper insight to human emotion," Keener said of her choice. "I want to respect it and that emotion. ... It's stressful, with added pressure this time. There's no coach save this time.""It shows your affinity to great songwriting and your ability to transport people through time. You are up against people doing vocal acrobatics and your answer to that is your pure chords," Williams told his prodigy.The performance received the first standing ovation from all four coaches."I'm so happy. I've been wanting that song on the show and I'm so glad you did it," said coach and singer Adam Levine. "It was perfect. It was such a beautiful version of a song and that was a stunning rendition.""That's what I was waiting for from you all this time," said coach Christina Aguilera. "I knew you were cable of tapping into that magic — that was true magic."Aguilera described Keener's singing as tender, boisterous and intensive."That was a really, really stellar performance," she said. "That was by far so far my favorite performance of the night."Her coach had no less praise for his youngest team member."That was beautiful. You're an artist; I've seen a lot of them and I'm looking at one right now," Williams said. "It was unbelievable when you finished that last strong note you carried. It was like you had to shake it off, like you were just drained."This is a 17-year-old girl. You have to vote for her," Pharrell added.
