Kolan's championship vault of 15-6 advances him to the state championships next week in Columbus. Ottawa-Glandorf's Alex Schroeder placed third in boys pole vault, with a vault of 14-8. Top-four finishers advance to the state championships. L-B's Emily Eyink finished second in girl's shot put, throwing for 40-8.75. The Eagles' Tyler Grose finished second in discus throw, with a toss of 157-0. In boy's long jump, O-G's Gavin Morman placed third with a jump of 21-9. The O-G girls 4x800 team of Liana Fortman, Rose Turnwald, Brea Recker, and Anna Buddelmeyer finished in second, with a time of 9:36.40. The Titans' boys 4x800 team placed third with a time of 7:54.64, with a team of Masen Vogt, Wyatt Croy, Ethan Metzger, and Ty Rosengarten.Liberty-Benton's boys 4x800 team of Evan Makowski, Lane Fannin, Hudson Day, and Jackson Hochstettler finished just outside of the top four, in fifth place with a time of 8:02.92.
