'Color our world' at the library

"Color Our World" this summer at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library! Summer Reading is finally here, and we have something special for everyone, now through July 31. One of our goals at the Library is to instill a love of reading that lasts a lifetime, so adults get their own special summer reading program! Our program is designed to inspire and engage readers of all ages through a diverse array of artistic expressions. Summer reading allows one to dive into stories that paint vivid pictures, sculpt emotions, and inspire creativity! For every book (or five magazines!) read this summer, you can earn prize entries for gift cards to area businesses that have generously supported the program. Simply pick up a reading log from the library, print it at tiffinsenecalibrary.rog, or keep track on a piece of paper. EBooks and audiobooks count, so utilize our free apps such as Libby or Hoopla! Check out books from the library (we can give reading recommendations or place a hold if we don't have what you want!), read books you already own from your TBR pile, or visit the Pan Yan Bookstore. Earn additional prize entries by playing our brand new "Bookopoly" game! Roll the provided dice and work your way around the board. Each space will give you a reading prompt. Finish the prompt, color in the space on the game board, and roll again! Be sure to include the book you read as part of "Bookopoly" on your reading logs to get double prize entries! Turn in your reading logs by the end of the day on July 31 to receive more prizes, including a free movie pass to Seneca Starvue! In addition to reading, adults can attend special programs throughout the summer. At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, join us for an unforgettable evening of cinematic immersion with our adult interactive movie program "Film Fusion!" Step into the screen and become part of the action as we watch the Tom Hanks film based on the popular book by Dan Brown about clues to a religious mystery hidden in paintings by Leonardo Da Vinci. We'll provide everything you need, including refreshments. Next up is our adult craft program "Glitter & Glue" at 10 a.m. Monday, July 14. It also takes place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 15. We will be painting landscaping bricks to look like your favorite books — perfect for your garden or in your home! Space and materials are limited, so please register for your preferred date by visiting the online calendar at www.tiffinsenecalibrary.org or by calling 419-447-3751. Do you have craft supplies that need a new home, or are you looking for a new project? Join us for a fun and creative day of crafting and community with our "Craft Supplies Swap and Craft Day" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19. Bring your unused or gently used supplies (yarn, paper, beads, fabric, tools, etc.) to put in the "swap," or pick up something new (even if you have nothing to bring)! Then, join our open crafting space to set up your new project (or something from home), and enjoy crafting alongside others in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Lastly, test your knowledge of different types of artistic expressions during "The Art of Trivia: An Adult Trivia Contest" at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 29.
