FHS class of '85 gathers for 40-year reunion

FINDLAY — The Findlay High School Class of 1985 will gather this weekend for its 40-year reunion. Events kickoff Friday from 6-10 p.m. at Rally in the Alley where classmate Chip McClurkin and his band, Tongue n Groove, will entertain. At 10 a.m. Saturday, the class will present a donation to Findlay High School and take a tour of the school. The big event for the weekend will be held from 6-10 p.m. Saturday at Alexandria's. The first part of the event is in the Findlay Room downstairs with quiet background music so classmates can reconnect. After 10 p.m., there is a live band upstairs that will allow dancing and singing. Cindy Brecht Wolfe, co-chair of the reunion committee, said the reunion will be financially accessible to all classmates. No admission is being charged for any of the events, but donations will be accepted for the recently formed nonprofit FHS Class of 1985 Foundation. Donations collected not only pay for the reunion but also provide financial assistance to current FHS students. The class foundation has already given $3,000 to at-risk students.
