On the parade Thank you to all who took a part of their 4th of July day and participated in the parade. It was a great way to celebrate this important, world-changing day in history (Independence Day) and to celebrate our great, wonderful country. I hope no one needs to tell you how fortunate we all are to be living in a country where there is opportunity and hope in the future for all. God Bless our servicemen and women and God bless the USA. Chuck Gerringer Findlay Courier roundup I want to tell you how much I enjoy reading our Courier. Yes, some days it seems like there's not much in it to read that catches my interest. I most enjoyed Bill Speer's "Deja vu all over again" as this rips at my heartstrings relating to the U.S. striking down raining fire on Libya in 1986 and Iran now. What will my great-grandchildren know and learn from this history lesson? Many people say this is great for us to do. I for one being a Democrat do not. This article was well written comparing relating to grandchildren. I'm saddened to read about immigrants being arrested and put in detention centers. Are people upset about this here in Findlay as I am? They're most likely upset that Cruise Nights are canceled. I have PTSD so the loud commotion is much too scary for me. And also the obituary for my friend's mother, Kay Bair, I see and also remember her husband Ed Bair's articles in The Courier. Oh then the joy of picking mulberries, too. We'd cross the crick to pick mulberries on the Sprow's property. I was too little to climb up the tree like my older brother Bob and sister Beverly, but my bare feet were well-stained from the berries on the ground. Jeremy Speer's story about cancer survivors and family I found endearing also and could very much relate to the survival, although there was no bell to ring back then for me. Lyn Poe Findlay
