Children's Museum working toward new location

FINDLAY — The Children's Museum of Findlay is in active negotiations for its new location. This marks a major milestone in the organization's efforts to secure a new home after leaving the Findlay Village Mall over five months ago. According to an announcement posted to the museum's Facebook page on Tuesday, the new location will be a "welcoming, accessible, and thoughtfully designed" space, continuing its mission of play-based learning for children and their families. While full details of the location have yet to be released, the museum has expressed enthusiasm over its recent progress. "We're thrilled to share that after a long and thoughtful search, we're now in active negotiations for our NEW home right here in Findlay!," a post from board president Kaylee Schleucher reads. The museum closed its original location inside the Findlay Village Mall on Jan. 19 due to the planned demolition of the mall's center portion to make way for a Target store. During the past five months, the museum has been working to maintain its momentum and community outreach with various pop-up events around town.
