Publication timing needs adjustment This letter is prompted by the Wreaths across America Ride to Remember article in the Saturday, July 12 edition of The Courier. This article needed to be in the paper earlier in the week. Before saying any more, I would like to thank the staff for putting out a daily paper. This is getting more rare all the time. I hope and pray that they can continue, and I believe they will. I consider myself fortunate to have worked at The Courier during COVID, preparing the papers for delivery after the printing process. When they could not find enough carriers and switched to postal delivery, I was able to bring a paper home "hot off the press" every morning. Now we live in a "retirement community" where our papers are delivered by a driver who delivers papers to dealers, we can read our paper with breakfast. Everyone is not that fortunate. Most subscribers get the paper delivered by the postman, much too late to find out that if they wanted to ride in the procession they needed to be at Garner Trucking by noon. Pre-press people need to work together so an article is printed before the day of the occasion. Kenneth Roush Findlay
