Fort Findlay Playhouse to present 'Something Rotten!'

The Fort Findlay Playhouse presents the opening production of the 2025-26 season, "Something Rotten!", running July 31 - August 3, August 7-10 & 14-17. From the playhouse synopsis: Something Rotten! is a wildly funny musical set in the 1590s, where brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom try to outdo Shakespeare by creating the world's first musical, guided by a zany soothsayer's vision of theatre's future. Packed with show-stopping numbers and outrageous characters, this crowd-pleasing hit celebrates the hilarity of ambition, originality, and the magic of musicals. The show was was conceived by Karey Kirkpatrick & Wayne Kirkpatrick and has a book by Karey Kirkpatrick & John O'Farrell with music & lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick & Karey Kirkpatrick. It is produced in association with Music Theatre International. The production team consists of director Samantha Henry, assistant director Tatiana Burkett, producer Crystal Willford, music director Kai Roberts and choreographer Nolan Tiech. Show times are 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $20 and are available online anytime starting on July 21 at fortfindlayplayhouse.org, via phone at 567-525-3636 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 21 and in person at 300 West Sandusky Street on July 21 from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
