The poorest will be affected This administration has made cuts to the poorest and most fragile people in America and in other countries. Although some cuts have already taken place, some important ones will not take place until after the 2026 election. This is intentional. Cuts to Medicaid will cut off millions of poor, disabled and nursing home recipients. In addition, rural hospitals will be affected by these cuts. SNAP funds for some of the poorest Americans will also see cuts. There are also many cuts for cancer research as well as other important scientific research for other diseases. I will also be disappointed in the cuts of public broadcasting and HUD. The temporary cuts for tips is a good thing, but why are the tax cuts for the wealthiest among us permanent? These large corporations and those with millions and billions are in a position to pay their fair share of taxes! There are some kind people who will vote because of one important issue: abortion. I understand your opposition, but no one can walk in another girl's or woman's shoes. Their circumstances and medical reasons should be between the individual and doctor's advice. Some women are dying as a result of denial of medical help in this matter. The last point I will make is many innocent and hardworking immigrants are being taken away the same as criminals. Matthew 25:40, quoting Jesus: "... to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it for me." Mary Herr Bluffton
