Physician added to BVHS staff

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) has welcomed Dr. Ethan Ekstrand, as a family medicine physician, to the Carey Medical Center. He brings experience in delivering comprehensive care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Ekstrand received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio, where he developed medical knowledge on research and community service. Additionally, he participated in various clinical rotations, gaining experience in different medical specialities. Ekstrand has completed his family medicine residency at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio. During the program, he developed a well-rounded and holistic approach to his practice, having honed his skills in a wide range of health issues, including acute illness and chronic conditions. He also emphasizes preventative care, essential for maintaining long-term wellness. "I am honored to join Blanchard Valley Health System," Dr. Ekstrand said in a release from BVHS.
