Passenger seriously injured in Findlay crash

FINDLAY — A passenger was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident on South Main Street Thursday morning. Calend J. Wise, 24, of Findlay, was traveling west in a 2019 Nissan Frontier in the Greenbrier Apartments parking lot, 2800 S. Main St., and made a northbound turn onto the street when Christopher A. Vaughan, 46, also of Findlay, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado south along the street about 10:38 a.m., according to a release from Findlay Police Department. The vehicles collided, with the impact forcing Wise's vehicle southwest into the grass and Vaughan's truck directly west into the grass. Sandy Sanchez, 35, also of Findlay, a front-right passenger in Wise's vehicle, was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco. Sanchez was in critical but stable condition Wednesday afternoon, according to the release. An 8-year-old rear right passenger in Wise's vehicle also was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital with minor injuries. Findlay Fire Department assisted at the scene.
