Endocrinology & Diabetes Specialist added to BVHS staff

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) has welcomed Saad Habib, DO, as a part of the Endocrinology & Diabetes Specialist of Northwest Ohio, a division of BVHS. A board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in endocrinology, Habib brings a wealth of expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex endocrine and metabolic disorders. Habib earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He completed his internal medicine residency at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton, Michigan, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University. Additionally, he completed an Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he contributed to thyroid research. His recent work includes the development of an artificial intelligence-assisted clinical tool designed to improve thyroid biopsy decision-making, advancing evidence-based patient care. Habib was awarded the LECOM Scholarship in 2018-2019 for academic excellence and commitment to the field of medicine. During his undergraduate years, he served as an executive board member for MSU Global Brigades from 2013 to 2015, helping organize international medical outreach programs. In 2013, he received the Citizenship Award in recognition of his commitment, dedication and service to the community. He is also the founder and organizer of Hoops for Hope, a volunteer initiative supporting homeless shelters in Detroit, MI. He is multilingual, proficient in English, Urdu and Spanish.
