Holman medalist as Rams claim N10 Shootout

N10 SHOOTOUT No. 3 TIFFIN – Toby Holman fired an even par 35, was the tournament medalist, and led Upper Sandusky to a one-stroke victory in the third N10 shootout of the season. Gage Thiel put up a 38 for the Rams in the tournament, which was held at Clinton Heights in Tiffin. The Rams edged Wynford, 154-155, for the team crown. MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL TOLEDO -- Alex Cobb worked two scoreless, hitless innings in a rehab start, and Mud Hens pitchers limited Columbus to four hits in a 5-1 win at Fifth Third Field. Cobb, who will be 38 in October, was signed by the Tigers in the offseason but has yet to pitch for the big league club due to injuries. In fact, Cobb hasn't pitched in the majors since last season with the Guardians. In his two innings Thursday, Cobb struck out three and walked two. Tyler Mattison followed Cobb, and gave the Mud Hens two scoreless innings. He was awarded the win. Ryan Kreidler hit a two-run double in the third inning for Toledo, and Max Anderson capped a three hit night by launching a solo homer in the eighth.
