Hatch's goal sends L-B to season-opening win

Senior Aiden Hatch scored for the Eagles, with junior Jairo Colina notching the assist. Goalkeeper Kooper Leatherman earned the shutout, coming up with one save.The Eagles will host St. Marys on Tuesday at 7 p.m. O-GLANDORF 1KALIDA 1KALIDA– Ottawa-Glandorf and Kalida tied 1-1 in a boys soccer season opener. Wyatt Croy scored the Titans' lone goal, with 28:21 remaining. Kalida answered with 22:53 remaining to even things at one apiece. The Titans travel to Napoleon on Monday, taking on the Wildcats at 7 p.m. GIRLS SOCCERL-BENTON 3OTTAWA HILLS 0FINDLAY– Kylie Modd scored two goals as Liberty-Benton opened its season with a 3-0 shutout of Ottawa Hills at home.Ally Ferris scored a goal as well for the Eagles. Sophie McDaniel recorded two assists, while Emma Lieb had one assist. L-B will be back in action on Tuesday, travelling to Lima Bath at 7 p.m.
