On Aug. 19: Resolution 019-2025, second reading, stating city services to be provided to the Brandeberry annexation: .97 acres located in Liberty Township. 020-2025, second reading, stating city services to be provided to the County Road 236/County Road 212 annexation: 12 parcels totalling 15 acres located in Cass Township. 021-2025, one reading only, accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor. Resolution adopted 8-0, with at-large councilmen Grant Russel and Jeff Wobser absent. 022-2025, first reading, adopting the update to the Hancock County Hazard Mitigation Plan. Ordinances 2025-87, third reading, appropriating $210,000 from the city's water fund to update waterline information in the city's geographic information system as part of the development of a master plan for the water department, and declaring an emergency. The work will be performed by Arcadis, Toledo. Ordinance approved 8-0. 2025-088, second reading, approving annexation of Northtowne Condominium Villas: 7.88 acres located in Liberty Township. 2025-89, second reading, zoning Northtowne Condominium Villas as CD "condominium." 2025-90, second reading, approving annexation of Greenbrier Holdings, LTC, and Maurer Rentals LLC, South Main Street: 9.16 acres located in Liberty Township. 2025-91, second reading, zoning Greenbrier Holdings, LTC, and Maurer Rentals LLC, South Main Street, as M-2 "multi-family high density." 2025-92, second reading, rezoning 3449 and 2453 Grace Boulevard, from R-3 "single family, high density residential" to M-2 "multiple family residential." 2025-93, second reading, vacating an alley near Westgate Drive. 2025-94, second reading, authorizing city administrators to advertise for bids and enter into contracts for the purchase of materials, chemicals and services needed by city departments, and declaring an emergency. 2025-98, first reading, authorizing city administrators to apply for a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission for the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Lake Cascades and Western Avenue, and declaring an emergency. 2025-99, first reading, authorizing city administrators to waive formal bidding requirements and enter into contract with Miller Bros. Construction, Archbold, to repave County Road 99, from Main Street to the railroad tracks, at an estimated cost of $158,410, and declaring an emergency. 2025-100, first reading, appropriating $77,000 from the capital improvement fund to purchase two vehicles, used by the zoning and computer services departments, and declaring an emergency. The department's vehicles were destroyed in a June storm when a lean-to collapsed. The vehicles are insured, but the city has not received the insurance money and the vehicles are needed. 2025-101, first reading, appropriating $856,000 for the city's fifth round of capital improvements this year, and declaring an emergency. 2025-102, first reading, appropriating $350,000 from the fund for severance pay, and declaring an emergency.
