Veterans to be celebrated at the fair

FINDLAY — Veterans Day will be celebrated on Wednesday at the Hancock County Fair. The Hancock County Veterans Service Office is planning several activities to for local veterans and veteran influencers. The first 150 veterans to register with the agency's booth in the Old Mill Stream Center from 11 a.m. to noon will receive a lunch food voucher good for select vendors that day. Dinner from Texas Roadhouse will be served at 5 p.m., following a brief veterans recognition ceremony. All of these events will be held in the centre. Veterans can also spend time in the air-conditioned centre where office staff will be on hand to answer questions, discuss services they provide to local veterans and their caregivers, and hear their stories. Any veteran who does not have a veteran ID or a "Veterans We Want You" T-shirt should stop by the office with a recorded DD214 to get an ID card that will provide free admission to the fair on Wednesday.
