Findlay rallies to edge Bobcats

VOLLEYBALL FINDLAY 3 BG 2 BOWLING GREEN – After losing two of the first three sets at Bowling Green Thursday, Findlay stormed back, getting 21 kills from Davinee Harris in a 23-25, 25-12, 6-25, 27-25, 15-11 victory over the Bobcats. Neela Epps added five aces and 10 kills for the Trojans, while Delaney Harris served four aces, recorded 15 digs and handed out 30 assists. Findlay's Maggie Crates registered 19 assists, while Anika Helms recorded 33 digs and Stephanie Ragen came up with 24 digs. Lauren Heydinger added eight blocks and eighyt kills, while Addy Rood had five blocks. The Trojans will be at Defiance on Monday. GIRLS GOLF ARLINGTON -- Findlay's Claire White registered a medal winning 43 at Sycamore Springs, and Findlay won a tri over Van Buren and Fremont Ross Thursday. Josey Weihrauch put up a 44 for the Trojans, while teammate Brynn Wells fired a 47 and Lainey Ricker had a 49 as Findlay topped the Black Knights 183-202. The Little Giants scored a 216. Van Buren's Addyson Adams recorded a 47, four strokes better than teammate Lauren Hibbard's 49. Peyton Griffin notched a 53 and Lydia Rober put up a 55 for Van Buren. Fremont Ross was led by Olivia Anstead's 50. GIRLS TENNIS FINDLAY 4 O-G 1 FINDLAY – Ottawa-Glandorf's Maggie Schmidiebush recorded a win at first singles, but Findlay controlled the rest of the matches Thursday, as it topped the Titans, 4-1. At second singles, the Trojans' Kendall Beall upended Myah Bockrath, 6-3, 6-1. At third singles, Findlay's Rosalynn Mayle got past Ottawa-Glandorf's Abby Recker, 6-1, 6-3. In doubles play, the Findlay duo of Willow Wetzel and Audrey Schroeder stopped Megan Gustwitter and Courtney Miller, 6-1, 6-1. At second doubles, the Trojans' Sanjana Indupuru and Lauren Taber defeated the Titans. Kasey Inkrott and Hannah Brickner, 6-2, 6-2. Schmidiebush notched O-G's lone win with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Findlay's Abi Russell. Findlay improved to 2-4. It will face Bowling Green Tuesday.
