Wilkin leads Van Buren over Seneca East in 4

VOLLEYBALL VAN BUREN 3 SENECA EAST 1 VAN BUREN – Brooklyn Wilkin filled up the stat sheet Thursday night, and Van Buren held on to win a tight match with Seneca East, 25-17, 22-25, 25-17, 25-22. Wilkin slammed 18 kills, registered eight digs and served four aces for the Black Knights. Lily Grine came up with 13 digs, while Selma Brant had a double double with 14 kills, 14 digs and three aces. Lydia Ponn dished out 35 35 assists, served three aces and added seven kills. n LEIPSIC 3 ST. JOHN'S 0 LEIPSIC – Karmyn Brough dished out 30 assists and served five aces, and Leipsic made quick work of Delphos St. John's 25-12, 25-12, 25-14. Danaysia Danzy slammed 13 kills for the Vikings, who improved to 2-0. Morgan Valdez smashed eight kills for Leipsic, while Kya Brandt recorded seven. Sidney Apple served three aces for LHS, while Jaelynn Siefer came up with 12 digs. EASTWOOD 3 L-B 1 PEMBERVILLE – Corra Dehart lined 18 kills and three blocks and served three aces, but Liberty-Benton was only able to win one set Thursday night at Eastwood, falling 25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19. The Eagles fell to 1-1 this season. Maddie Amstutz contributed 23 digs and Emelia Kim had eight kills and two blocks for L-B. Sadie Barnes came up with 11 digs and Ally Hocanson dished out 18 assists while recording three blocks. Allie Dysert handed out 10 assists for the Eagles. H. NORTHERN 3 N. BALTIMORE 0 NORTH BALTIMORE – Kendall Frank nearly recorded a double-double with 19 assists and nine kills, and Hardin Northern eased past North Baltimore in an NWCC match, 25-12, 25-19, 25-13. Lainey Thomas had 21 digs for the Polar Bears, while Addy Bacon smashed nine kills and Baylie Bacon registered eight.
