Order of the Eastern Star honors members for years of service FINDLAY — On August 12th, Findlay Chapter 23, Order of the Eastern Star presented 70 year pins to Betty Kahler and Roberta Flinn. (First picture) 60 year pins were given to Nancy Farthing (second picture) 50 year pins were given to Scott Nelson Barrett, Jim Black, Karen Black and Charlotte Hughes during the regular meeting. The reunion will take place at Ada Park Shelter #6, in Ada. Visitors are encouraged to come and bring a dish to share. Mount Blanchard retired teachers and staff gather MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Mt. Blanchard Elementary retired teachers and staff gather annually for lunch and fellowship with their former colleagues. This year's event, held Aug. 13 at the Wildcat Cafe in Vanlue, was attended by 21 retirees. The Mount Blanchard building was torn down in 2004 after the new K-12 Riverdale building opened. Staff worked at the Mount Blanchard school sometime from the 1960's until December 2003, when the school closed. Ages of the attendees range from their 60's into their 90's.
