Tate, Castellaneta each shoot in 70s at Findlay takes 4th at Madison Invite

Boys Golf MANSFIELD – Findlay High's boys golf team posted a score of 314, its second-best score of the season, and placed fourth among 15 teams in the Mansfield Madison Invitational on Friday.Jamie Tate fired a 76 and Leo Castellaneta 77 to lead Findlay. The Trojans were deep and balanced, though, with Owen Vick (80), Reece Stillings and Kellen Sherer (81s) and Jacob Meier (82) all finishing within two strokes of each other. Cross Country NORTH BALTIMORE – North Baltimore's Ady Rynolds ran a school record time of 20:22.6 in leading the Tigers (30 points) to victories over Van Buren (45) and Elmwood (47) in a four-team cross country meet.Elmwood's Janessa Childress (21:32.54) ran second and Grace Morgart (22:35.33) was third in the girls race. Van Buren's top runner was Darby Poling (23.57.60) in fifth place.Van Buren won the boys portion of the meet with 21 points. Elmwood was second (35) and North Baltimore (79) third.Van Buren's Andrew Puperi (17:17.17), Carter Fry (17:27.62), Carter Finley (17:46.58) and Griffin Ware (18:21.03) swept the top four spots. Elmwood took the next six spots, led by Trever Shaffer's fifth-place time of 18:55.32.
