Thank you, Hancock County On behalf of Christian Clearing House, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Hancock County community for the tremendous outpouring of support for our local children as they began this school year. Because of your generosity, more than 1,200 children received backpacks and school supplies — helping them walk into their classrooms prepared and confident. Each year, our community comes together to make a difference in the lives of children — our future. This year was no exception. Not only did you provide school supplies, but you also supported Project Happy Feet. Through this effort, Christian Clearing House was able to distribute 800 shoe vouchers to ensure children had proper footwear to run, play, and thrive. Our hope is that one day we will be able to provide shoe vouchers to every child who receives school supplies — making sure no child is left without this basic need. We are especially grateful to the many churches, businesses, and individuals who stand behind these local projects. A special thank you goes to the area churches who held sock collections and provided enough new socks to ensure children started the school year with comfort and dignity. We also extend our deepest thanks to the incredible volunteers whose time, energy, and dedication made it possible to organize, prepare, and distribute the supplies and vouchers. Without them, this event simply could not happen. With rising costs of rent, utilities, and food, many families face difficult choices. Without your generosity, countless children would have gone without the supplies and essentials they need. Thank you, Hancock County, for showing once again what it means to be a caring, compassionate and united community. We truly could not do this without you.
