Children's Museum announces new director

FINDLAY — The Children's Museum of Findlay has announced Allison Behm-Kemmere as its new executive director. According to a post made to the museum's Facebook page on Monday, Behm-Kemmere is a lifelong educator and community leader with a passion for inspiring young minds. "She's no stranger to helping others grow through change, and she's ready to guide us into our next chapter including moving into a new museum space!," the post reads. Behm-Kemmere has taught at Findlay City Schools and Kenton City Schools, and began as a youth services assistant at Findlay-Hancock County Public Library in February. The decision follows the museum's ongoing leadership transition, which included a July Facebook post thanking former Executive Director Kora Burch for her dedicated service. The organization is still working to secure its new home after leaving the Findlay Village Mall over six months ago. While full details of the new location have not yet been released, the museum has expressed enthusiasm over its recent progress in a Facebook comment, stating, "The unexpected timing of our eviction and having our former ED step down made things so very challenging. But we're making steady progress as you can see with our announcements, and we are closer than ever to securing our new home!"
