Tennis tournament honors Tennezyn Hadler

FINDLAY — The community gathered at the University of Findlay's tennis courts Saturday for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie to celebrate the inaugural Tennezyn Hadler Memorial Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament. Hosted by the Findlay Family Tennis Association, the tournament celebrated the life of Tennezyn Hadler, the granddaughter of local tennis pro Elizabeth Hadler. Funds generated from the event will support the association's efforts to expand local youth tennis programs in Findlay. The Findlay Family Tennis Association is a nonprofit founded by Nikki Matheny and Simon Tuck to promote healthy lifestyles through inclusive family tennis programs in the community. A total of 27 teams signed up for the tournament's first year, with players of all ages and skill sets competing. The event drew in a large number of spectators to watch matches and honor the memory of Tennezyn Hadler. "We couldn't have asked for a better day to honor Tennezyn's memory and bring our community together through tennis," Matheny said. "The Findlay Family Tennis Association is grateful for the support and looks forward to future events."
