Why the front page? Ok folks, let's talk about this. I got up Monday morning and sat down with my cup of coffee to read the online version of The Courier. There in big bold headlines on the front page of the paper was the story about Spectrum, LGBTQ, and KYC situation in Findlay. Why? Why did the editorial staff and publisher decide to put that article on the front page of the paper? Why is The Courier allowing itself to be used to promote this cause? Why push this agenda on your readers? It seems probable to me that 99.9% of The Courier's readers do not care about this. Why is The Courier catering to such a small percentage of the readership at the expense of the majority? Every time we turn around, The Courier is complaining about declining readership. Well, this situation shows you why. If The Courier wants to stay relevant, they need to serve up what their readership wants. Listen to your readers. Put stories on the front pages that most of us can relate to. Cover all the controversial topics you want, that's fine, but don't make me look at them on the front page of my Monday morning paper.
