Beall keys Findlay tennis against Whitmer

TENNIS TOLEDO --Findlay's Kendall Beall and Rosalynn Mayle each won a singles match, and the team of Reese Hagedorn and Maggie Bramel claimed a doubles contest and the Trojans edged Whitmer 3-2. With the match tied at 2, it was Beall who pulled out a 6-4, 6-1 victory at second singles over the Panthers' Riley McGrath to secure the Trojans' victory Findlay improved to 5-6, 3-4 in the NLL. Mayle blanked Isabella Ostrowski, 6-0, 6-0, at third singles. In doubles play, Hagedorn and Bramel stopped Whitmer's Marlee Chappel and Madison Tilley at second singles. At first singles, the Panthers' Kendall Hammons upended Abi Russell, 6-0, 6-1. At first doubles, Whitmer's duo of Alexis Stoldt and Marissa Ibarra got past Findlay's Aubrey Schroeder and Lauren Taber. The Trojans will be at Toledo Central Catholic Saturday.
