LEIPSIC 3RIVERDALE 0LEIPSIC – Leipsic's volleyball team found itself ranked No. 2 in the state when the first Division VII coaches poll of the 2025 season was released on Monday and the Vikings played up to that ranking in a straight-set 25-16, 25-12, 25-10 Blanchard Valley Conference win over Riverdale.Danaysia Danzy powered 12 kills, Kya Brandt (6 aces) and Sidney Apple (3 aces) added five kills each andAlyssa Campbell (4 aces) had two.Karmyn Brough (2 aces) led Leipsic with 27 assists. Jaelynn Siefer had 11 digs and Abriana Pizano had six for the Vikings, now 2-0 in BVC matches and 8-0 overall. Leipsic will take that unbeaten record on a four-game road swing with matches at Columbus Grove today, at Arcadia on Wednesday, at Pandora-Gilboa next Monday and at Holgate on Sept. 16.Shayla Newfer (13-14 serving) and Carly Karcher (9-10 serving) both had three aces for Riverdale (5-3, 0-2 BVC).JUNIOR VARSITY: Leipsic, 25-8, 25-9.
