Troyer scores three times as Eagles stop Rams

BOYS SOCCER L-B 5 U. SANDUSKY 2 UPPER SANDUSKY – Taeden Troyer recorded a hat trick, finding the back of the net three times as Liberty-Benton tripped Upper Sandusky, 5-2. Alex Boeker recorded a goal and an assist for the Eagles, while Aidan Hatch converted a goal off an assist from Jairo Colina. Cooper Cox also had an assist for L-B. Cooper Roof scored a pair of goals for Upper Sandusky, with Jonathan Craig and Caleb Arter each recording an assist. Bryson Stoneburner made seven saves in goals for the Rams, who dropped to 6-3. GIRLS SOCCER BLUFFTON 7 LCC 0 BLUFFTON – Mya McDougle scored three times, had two assists, and led Bluffton to a 7-0 shutout over Lima Central Catholic. Aubrey Burkholder added a pair of goals and an assist for the Pirates, while Blair Utendorf (assist) and Carly Wise each scored once. Jaicelyn Morris and Willow Derstine each recorded an assist as Bluffton had 33 shots on goal; the Thunderbirds didn't have any. Kynzie Ewing was in goal for Bluffton, but didn't have a save. VAN BUREN 11 WAITE 0 VAN BUREN -- Sophia Webster scored two goals, Serenity Ferguson recorded two assists, and Van Buren routed Waite, 11-0. Kami Bowman, Jordon Cameron, Ashlynn Fenstermaker and Maddy Hardie each notched one goal and one assist for the Black Knights. Van Buren's Ella Grieger, Lauren Dahms, Lily Kaufman, Hailey Reynolds and Claire Wetherill each scored one goal. Eden Orchard and Molly Finley each had an assist. GIRLS GOLF Hopewell-Loudon's Megan Boes was the runner up, shooting a 46, and two other Chieftains finished in the top five at Thursday's SBC Shootout. Chieftains Aubrey Cline and Mylie Alt each shot a 47, and H-L won the shootout with a 188. Old Fort finished second with a 193. St. Joe's Ryan Dickman was the medalist with a 440.
