BOYS SOCCER CENTERVILLE 6FINDLAY 1FINDLAY – Centerville, a traditional power on the boys soccer circuit with 16 state tournament appearances, lived up to its billing on Saturday with a 6-1 win over Findlay at Elmer Graham Stadium.Ranked 12th in the big school division this season, Centerville improved to 6-2 with Saturday's win. Findlay fell to 1-5-1.Senior midfielder Britton Elliott scored Findlay's lone goal. FHS keeper David Roberts made 18 saves in goal.Zion Ortiz had five intercepts and six steals and Tyler Worthington had four intercepts and seven steals to lead Findlay defensively.Findlay is at Toledo Whitmer for a Northern Lakes League match on Tuesday, then faces another state-ranked opponent on Saturday when the Trojans travel to Medina (4-1-1, No. 16).JUNIOR VARSITY BLUE: Centerville 4, Findlay 0.
