FHS boys golf takes 10th in Pettisville

GOLF PETTISVILLE INVITATIONAL WAUSEON — Findlay's team posted a 346 score on Saturday and placed tenth among 20 schools in the Pettisville Invitational held at the Ironwood Golf Course in Wauseon.Kellen Sherer carded an 84 and Gavin Wells had an 85 to lead the Trojans. Ashton Holdgreve posted an 88 and Gabe Sterling's 89 completed the Trojans' scoring.It was a day of low scores team-wise and individually. Pettisville won the tournament with a team score of 294. Archbold's Grady Short took medalist honors with a 6-under round of 66.Findlay's varsity will next compete in the Northern Lakes League championship meet Wednesday at Eagles Landing Golf Course in Oregon.Findlay High's girls golf team will also be in NLL tournament competition beginning today.
