ROSS 2FINDLAY – Findlay swept both doubles matches in chalking up a 3-2 win over Fremont Ross in Tuesday's Northern Lakes League match at the FHS Courts.Audrey Schroeder and Willow Wetzel defeated Bridgette Gooslin and Ruby Hager 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and at No. 2, Reese Hagedorn and Sanjana Indupuru topped Peightyn Wolf and Abby Stachowiak 6-2, 6-0.Findlay's third win came at No. 2 singles where Kendall Beall beat Fremont's Addy Calhoun 6-2, 6-0.Ross took two of the three singles matches, with Elayna Gray (No. 1) scoring a 6-1, 6-4 decision over Abi Russell, and Shelby Steinberger (No. 3) beating Rosalynn Mayle 6-1, 6-3.The Trojans, 8-7 overall and 5-5 in NLL matches, are slated to host Wapakoneta today and travel to Lima Shawnee on Thursday. Findlay will then compete in the NLL tournament Sept. 23-24 at Sylvania Northview. BOYS SOCCER FINDLAY 7WHITMER 0TOLEDO – Carson Firestine scored three goals, Britton Elliott had two and both added an assist on Tuesday when Findlay High's boys soccer team rolled past Whitmer 7-0 in a Northern Lakes League Buckeye Division matchup in Toledo.Phoenix Highwood and Adam Bascal also found the net for Findlay, with Gavin LaRocco getting two assists and Brayden Cooper and Asher Yu – in addition to Firestine and Elliott – adding one each. VOLLEYBALL NORTHVIEW 3FINDLAY 0SYLVANIA – Sylvania Northview won two close sets and opened up some breathing room in the third in chalking up a 25-21, 25-21, 25-17 win over Findlay in a Northern Lakes League Buckeye Division volleyball match on Tuesday.Northview climbed to 7-5 overall and 4-3 in the NLL with the win. Findlay had a two-match win streak halted and is 4-8 overall, 3-5 in the league.Findlay begins a four-game home stand on Thursday when the Trojans host Toledo Central Catholic.
