Sautter runner-up at NWC tourney, Grove third, Bluffton fifth

BOYS GOLF NWC Tournament HARROD – Columbus Grove's Gage Sautter fired a 77 and was the runner-up at the Northwest Conference Tournament at Colonial Golfers Club Thursday. Only Convoy Crestview's Matt Dealey, who shot a 76, was better. Sauter's performance – along with an 80 from teammate Dalton Hyman – helped the Bulldogs come within three strokes of a tournament title. Allen East, paced by Brady Brooks' 79, finished with a 339 team score, a stroke better than team runner-up Lincolnview and two strokes better than Grove, which finished with a 341. Crestview was fourth with a 347. Two strokes behind the Knights was Bluffton (349), which was paced by Nick Lovett's 85 and Ethan Fifer's 86. Lima Central Catholic (378) and Delphos Jefferson (388) rounded out the team standings.
