FINDLAY 3NAPOLEON 2FINDLAY – Findlay High's volleyball team overcame a 2-1 deficit and won a close fifth set to beat Napoleon 25-17, 24-26, 15-25, 25-17, 15-12 in a Northern Lakes League match at the FHS Gymnasium.Davinee Harris was 48-of-52 spiking with 21 kills. Lauren Heydinger (19-21 spiking, 4 blocks), Neela Epps (15-16) and Maggie Crates (30-32) added nine kills each and Addy Rood (17-19, 2 blocks) had five.Anika Helms was 128-for-130 setting with 48 assists, 12 digs, five ace serves and two blocks. Epps had four aces and Harris and Crates two each.Crates and Delaney Harris had 15 digs for the Trojans (7-8, 4-5 NLL). O-G, among schools receiving points in Division V, won for the eighth time in nine games and is 11-4.Leipsic's Danaysia Danzy had 20 kills and 16 digs and Kya Brandt had 12 kills, 13 digs and 12 ace serves.Karmyn Brough led the Vikings with 34 assists, with Jaelynn Siefer coming up with 36 digs and Karly Garcia getting 12. NORTHERN 3RIDGEDALE 0DOLA – Addy Bacon pounded 12 kills, Baylie Bacon had eight and Hardin Northern stayed among the Northwest Central Conference volleyball leaders with a 25-14, 25-20, 25-19 win over Ridgedale.Kendall Frank led Hardin Northern with 26 assists. Lainey Thomas had 23 digs and Frank and Addy Bacon had 10 each for the Polar Bears, 8-6 overall and 5-1 in NWCC matches.JUNIOR VARSITY: Ridgedale, 25-16, 25-20. CAREY 3BUCYRUS 0CAREY – Carey started slow, blew through the second set and cruised through the third in a 25-23, 25-10, 25-17 win over Bucyrus in Northern 10 Conference volleyball action.Abbi Seager was 23-of-25 spiking with 11 kills and three blocks, 16-of-16 serving with six aces and had nine digs. Emily Brodman was 23-of-23 spiking with nine kills, two blocks and 12 digs.Rylie Stoops had seven kills, 12 assists, 11 digs and two aces as Carey (11-4 overall, 7-2 N10) stayed a game back of Buckeye Central in the league standings. Kaylee Allison led the Tigers with 13 digs, Jessica Trout had 12 and Lacie Allison 10. OTTOVILLE 3P-GILBOA 2PANDORA – Ottoville overcame a 2-1 deficit to get past Pandora-Gilboa 25-21, 19-25, 15-25, 25-17, 15-9 in a Putnam County League volleyball match.P-G's Nevaeha Alvarado and Corrin Luginbill (3 block) smashed 17 kills each and Kelsie Carlson and Claire Osting both had nine.Cora Hovest had 46 assists for the Rockets (10-5, 1-3 PCL) and Ava Huffman had a team-high 23 digs. ST. MARYS 3H-LOUDON 2BASCOM – Hopewell-Loudon almost overcame a 2-0 deficit but fell just short in a 25-21, 25-22, 25-27, 19-25, 15-13loss to Sandusky St. Marys.Savannah Cook led H-L with 15 kills, Aaraceli Velasquez (26 digs) had eight and Anna Bloom seven. Maddie Holcomb had 36 digs and Aubrey Schumm had 18 assists for the Chieftains (6-9).
