Lance, Black Knights pick up big win over Panthers

VAN BUREN 35MCCOMB 14VAN BUREN — Brady Lance accounted for all five touchdowns in a huge home victory for Van Buren, while Brody Scales' rushing paved the way in a 35-14 win over McComb.Lance rushed for 90 yards and four scores, while adding 74 yards through the air and a touchdown pass to Will Rampe, as the Black Knights improved to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the BVC.Scales didn't score, but stuffed the stat sheet with 232 yards on 17 carries.Alex Homan hauled in four passes for 30 yards, while Rampe had 41 receiving yards.Brooks Hill had 11 tackles and an interception, while Haiden Orr and Trace Kisseberth each had a sack and forced fumble. The Panthers' Carter Frater returned a kickoff for a touchdown. McComb's other score came when Gracin Romero scored on a three-yard run. McComb fell to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the league. AADA 35ARCADIA 0ADA — A scoreless first quarter gave way to three Ada scores in the second quarter, as the Bulldogs cruised to a 35-0 win over Arcadia.Blake Zoldaz threw for two touchdowns and ran for another for Ada, who improved to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the BVC. Zoldaz was 10-of-15 passing for 163 yards, the two touchdowns and an interception.Gavin Oldfield and T.J. Griffith caught touchdown passes, with Oldfield leading the way with five catches for 60 yards.
