Robbery at Dick's leads to 4 arrests

FINDLAY — Police arrested two adults and two juveniles Wednesday in connection with a robbery at Dick's Sporting Goods on Tiffin Avenue in Findlay. According to a Findlay Police Department release, the suspects allegedly stole approximately $6,500 worth of merchandise from the store around 6 p.m. before fleeing in a black Jeep Compass with temporary registration. The stolen property consisted mostly of clothing items, along with some tumblers and bags, Lt. Andrew Welch said. When a store employee attempted to photograph the suspects, one allegedly threatened to shoot the employee, Welch said. No firearm was recovered, he said. Officers located the vehicle on County Road 99 heading towards I-75 and conducted a traffic stop. All four suspects were taken into custody. Police say all stolen property was recovered along with tools used to remove magnetic tags. Police have identified the suspects as 22-year-old Shanae R. Grier, of Toledo; 19-year-old Antionna F. Boone, of Sylvania; and two juveniles not named by police. Grier and Boone are being held at the Hancock County Justice Center, while the juveniles are being held at the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center. The list of charges filed against the suspects includes falsification, robbery, complicity to robbery, and possession of criminal tools. Welch said the juveniles' cases have been referred to the juvenile prosecutor to determine if they will be charged as adults.
