Funday Sunday returns

FINDLAY — Mazza Museum is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to host this year's first Funday Sunday program at Findlay's Mazza Museum, on Oct. 26 from 1-3:30 p.m. with the theme "Build Tomorrow with Habitat for Humanity." Free and open to the public, the program encourages expression, literacy and critical thinking skills through art and construction activities, games, hands-on educational stations and interactive STEAM activities for the family. "We are kicking off this year's series with a special program with one of our community partners," Amanda Davidson-Johnston, assistant director at the Mazza Museum, said in a release. "Habitat for Humanity does such great work in the community, and we want to celebrate their 25th anniversary in Findlay." Author/illustrator and paper toy maker Merrill Rainey, of Whitehouse, Ohio, will provide fun activities allowing children to "color, cut and create" projects. Rainey recently published "On the Air with Dr. Doodlebug," which he describes as a radio show in a book. He also works for children's magazines such as Highlights, Ranger Rick and Humpty Dumpty. The Funday Sundays 2025-26 series takes place November through April and is sponsored by the Hancock Federal Credit Union. Themes for Funday Sunday this year include: Dec. 14: The North Pole Railway Jan. 11: Happy Birthday USA!
