Findlay athletes earn all-NLL recognition

A number of Findlay High School athletes were recognized by the Northern Lakes LeagueSoccer produced the most all-NLL selections, with senior defender Olivia Gayhart, who led the Trojans with 17 goals and added four assists, from the girls team and senior goalie David Roberts and junior midfielder Tyler Worthington from the boys team earning first-team spots. Roberts had 207 saves and was the NLL Buckeye Division Goalie of the Year; Worthington had 91 steals and 121 intercepts.For the FHS girls, freshman Emmersyn Patey (22 steals) and sophomore Greta Zaciewski (5 goals, 2 assists)were second-team all-NLL, as well as senior midfielder Britton Elliott and freshman forward Carson Firestine (9 goals) from the boys squad.Three runners were first-team all-NLL in cross country, Cam Stechschulte and Russell Stine IV from the boys team and Natalie Gutman for the girls.In golf, Owen Vick for the boys and Brynn Wells for the girls were first-team all-league, Jamie Tate (boys) and Lainey Ricker and Josey Weihrauch (girls) making the all-NLL second team.Abigail Russell was second-team all-NLL in girls tennis, and in volleyball, Davinee Harris received second-team honors ALL-OHIO SOCCERCOLUMBUS – Findlay's David Roberts and Olivia Gayhart were first-team selections when the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association recently announced its all-Ohio boys and girls soccer teams for the 2025 season.Roberts, a senior who had earlier received first-team all-Northern Lake League an Division I all-Northwest District honors, was one of three goalies earning first team status in Division I. Roberts made 207 saves in goal in 2025.Gayhart led Findlay's girls team with 17 goals and three assists, and was first-team all-state as a defender.Three players from Liberty-Benton' boys and girls regional qualifying teams were all-Ohio. Senior midfielder Aiden Hatch (34 goals, 19 assists) and junior forward Jairo Calino (29 goals, 27 assists) were Division IV all-Ohio for the boys team; Kylie Modd (13 goals, 14 assists) was all-state for the L-B girls.Savannah Recker for Ottawa-Glandorf's state-qualifying girl team, was also all-Ohio in Division IV. Van Buren midfielder Kami Bowman, Bluffton senior forward Aubrey Burkholder (16 goals, 12 assists) and Columbus Grover forward Ruth Myers (26 goals, 9 assists) were all-state in Division V.
