Hancock Park District accepting entries for Photography Contest FINDLAY — The Hancock Park District is accepting entries for its Photography Contest through 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31. Photographs must be posted online to www.HancockParks.com under the "Park News" section to be considered. Additional rules include: • No more than five photos submitted per person and each photograph must be submitted separately • Only .jpeg format photos under 5mb in size will be accepted • Photographs must have been taken in 2025 and in the Hancock Park System (i.e., parks owned and/or managed by the Hancock Park District), from the Blanchard River Greenway Trail, or of the Blanchard River (e.g., landscapes, wildlife, and outdoor recreation) • Amateurs of all ages are eligible to participate with photographers under the age of 18 requiring parental consent for each photograph submission • All photographs must be unpublished, must not have won any award, and must be submitted by the original photographer All qualified entries in the Photography Contest will be posted on the Hancock Park District Facebook page between Jan. 2 and Jan. 16, where the public can vote for one "People's Choice" winner. The photograph with the most "likes" on the original post will be named the People's Choice winner. The Hancock Park District will notify the winner via the email address used to enter the photograph at the time of entry within 10 days of Jan. 16. A cash prize of $200, along with a plaque will be awarded. Complete entry rules and guidelines can be found online in the Park News section of www.hancockparks.com. The Findlay Office hosts networking event FINDLAY — The Findlay Office will host a Holiday Networking Event from 4-7 p.m. on Dec. 15, at 323 S. Main St., rear entrance, fourth floor. The event is designed for professionals who do not have a traditional office party, as well as anyone interested in expanding their local network. Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of conversation, connection, and holiday spirit in a festive setting. The gathering welcomes remote workers, small business owners, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and community members who want to meet like-minded professionals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about The Findlay Office. Staff will be available to answer questions about membership, amenities, and available work and event spaces. Parking is available in the public lot behind the building next to the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce. Guests should enter through the rear entrance. NB library to present free movie NORTH BALTIMORE — The North Baltimore Public Library will be showing "The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever" as part of its annual December Christmas movie event. This is part of the monthly free movie series, View & Chew. "The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever" is the 2024 adaptation, based on the children's book of the same name. The Herdmans are six siblings who have a reputation for being the worst kids in the world. However, when they take over the local church pageant during the holidays, they just might teach a shocked community the true meaning of Christmas. The movie will be shown on Wednesday, with a start time of 6 p.m., at the Virginia Theater, 119 N. Main St., North Baltimore. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase.
