BVMA joins regional healthcare group

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Medical Associates has joined NOMS (Northern Ohio Medical Specialists) Healthcare, effective Dec. 8. BVMA, which has been in Findlay for more than 50 years, is a multi-specialty physician practice with 16 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. NOMS Healthcare is one of the largest independent, multi-specialty physician groups in Ohio. Founded in 2001 with the premise of providing "excellent, personalized, team-based care," NOMS Healthcare is a physician-led and physician-owned organization that now includes more than 300 providers in 120 locations. As NOMS providers, BVMA will continue to offer the same services and physicians will still be seeing patients at their current practice location, a press release states. All contact information will also remain the same. A Dec. 1 letter to patients stated that, while patients may be receiving notices from insurance carriers as part of the transition, patients could still be seen at the practice and many insurers remain in-network.
