Findlay Police Department Monday, Dec. 22 9:06 a.m. - 700 block West Main Cross Street, a resident's door was kicked in and a caller suspected the apartment had been burglarized. 11:49 a.m. 2000 block Tiffin Avenue, police attempted to detain a wanted person in a residence who would not cooperate. Findlay Fire Department extended a ladder up to the resident's second-floor window and helped take the person into custody. 4:53 p.m. - on station, 318 Dorney Plaza, a woman reported a sexual assault. 5:35 p.m. - 1100 block West Trenton Avenue, a man was detained and then released after being accused of shoplifting. 7:12 p.m. - 2400 block Tiffin Avenue, a woman shoplifted two shirts and a bottle of cologne. Hancock County Sheriff's Office Monday, Dec. 22 5:15 p.m. - 15000 block Ohio 103, Mt. Blanchard, a man was scammed out of $1,800 via gift card purchases. Tuesday, Dec. 23 3:52 a.m. - 200 block N. Liberty St., Findlay, caller reported a man walking around outside where he wasn't allowed. He also started a fire in a firepit before being given a trespass warning by police and being told to leave.
