Titans hand Grove its first loss since January

The Bulldogs, last year's Division VI state champions, hadn't lost a game since Jan. 7, when they fell at Ottawa-Glandorf, 54-39. On Tuesday, 51 weeks after O-G handed Grove it's last defeat, the Titans gave it another one. Karsyn Erford scored 18 points, O-G's defense forced 25 turnovers, and the Titans bounced the Bulldogs, 45-33. Alyvia Grothause and Madison McKee each had nine points for Ottawa-Glandorf. Columbus Grove didn't miss many shots, but then, it didn't attempt that many. It was 11 of 21 from the floor, as O-G – itself 9-0 – generated 18 steals. Kendal Palte finished with 15 points and five assists for the Bulldogs, who slipped to 9-1 this season. Nicole Nesby had nine points and five boards.
