North Baltimore's Allison goes for 52 points, 18 rebounds in win over Elgin

NORTH BALTIMORE – In her relatively short career as a varsity basketball player, Lacie Allison already has had some big games for North Baltimore. In Tuesday's game against Elgin, though, the Tigers' sophomore found another gear. In North Baltimore's 79-57 win over the Comets, Allison made five 3s and 11 2s. She went 15 of 17 from the foul line and was a monster on the boards. At the end of the game, Allison finished with 52 points, 18 rebounds, four assists and three steals. She helped the Tigers snap a two-game losing streak and improve to 10-2 on the season. She's now gone over 1,000 points in her career. North Baltimore led Elgin just 21-20 at the end of the first quarter, but used a 27-16 spurt in the second to take control. Aubrey Cotterman made three 3-pointers and finished with 10 points for the Tigers, who made 11 3s on the evening. Josselyn Paynter finished with five points and six boards for North Baltimore. Kaylee Allison added seven points, three steals and three assists. Elgin was paced by Jordan Wall, who had 18 points, and by Maycee Mueslin, who recorded 15 points.
