Findlay organizations come together to host Gala for Good

FINDLAY — Findlay Young Professionals (FYP), in partnership with the Findlay Noon Rotary Club, hosted the annual Gala for Good last Thursday at the Hilton Garden Inn. The gala brought together community leaders, professionals, and civic organizations in a shared commitment to philanthropy and service. Founded by FYP in 2025, the Gala for Good was created to give back to the community that has nurtured and inspired local professionals. Each year, the event raises funds for an organization making a meaningful difference in Hancock County while fostering connections and emphasizing the importance of civic engagement as a cornerstone of professional development. This year's beneficiary was the Christian Clearing House, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing food, financial assistance, and essential services to individuals and families in need. "This event reflects what Findlay Young Professionals is all about — connecting people, creating impact, and leading through service," said Brittany Beltz, president of FYP. "We are proud to support Christian Clearing House and to partner with the Noon Rotary Club in showing that when professionals come together with purpose, we can make a real difference in our community." The collaboration aligned with Rotary International's 2025–26 theme, "Unite for Good," and its guiding principle of "Service Above Self," highlighting the power of cross-generational partnerships in strengthening community impact. The evening's keynote address was delivered by Dr. George McAfee who emphasized the importance of choosing significance over success and reminded attendees that leadership is measured not by titles or followers, but by lives positively affected by your achievements. Drawing on Rotary's legacy and FYP's mission of Connect. Impact. Lead., McAfee highlighted "unity" as the essential ingredient for sustained community progress. Musical entertainment was provided by the Findlay High School String Factor, adding a special local touch to the event. Organizers from both FYP and Findlay Rotary expressed their commitment to making Gala for Good an annual tradition that continues to inspire service, leadership, and community connection.
