Lima Avenue closing today for gas repair FINDLAY — Columbia Gas will be closing Lima Avenue from Carlin Street to Logan Avenue in Findlay from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today for emergency gas line repair. A detour route will be posted to direct traffic, a release from the city of Findlay states. Motorists are advised to avoid these areas if possible. Applicants sought for Berry scholarship FINDLAY — In her last will and testament, Marie Dodge Berry left one-third of her residual estate to be set aside as the Marie Berry Educational Fund. The purpose of this program is to award scholarships to deserving students and to provide them with financial assistance to further their post-secondary education. The Marie Berry Scholarship is open to students who have graduated from a state chartered school in Hancock County. The scholarship is dedicated to students who have financial need and wish to pursue a two- or four-year degree program at a community college, accredited college or university, trade school or business school. The scholarship is for a full-time student and is renewable up to three additional years.
