WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ODU 67FINDLAY 43COLUMBUS– Ohio Dominican dominated the University of Findlay in both the opening and closing quarters in a 67-43 G-MAC trouncing on Saturday in Columbus. The Panthers, who lost by one point to the Oilers earlier in the year at Croy Gymnasium, outscored Findlay 14-6 in the first quarter, and 17-3 in the fourth in a dominant conference victory. ODU held every Oiler to single-digit scoring, as Findlay shot just 29-percent from the field, 19-percent from three-point range, and committed 14 turnovers. ODU also won the rebound battle 44-29.Jenna Shackleford paced the Panthers with 19 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Jazmyn Wheeler also notched 19 points, along with eight boards and two blocks, making all three of her long-range attempts in 26 minutes off the bench. Mackenzie Hurd finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Meghan Mayotte put up eight points, five rebounds, and five assists. Macy Chapman added six points, six boards, three assists, and four steals. Findlay's Addisyn Freeman, still returning to form after missing a handful of games, ended with eight points and three boards in just 14 minutes, going 2-of-3 from downtown. ODU outrebounded the Oilers 41-29, recorded 17 assists compared to Findlay's eight, and shot 50-percent from the field and 33-percent from three-point range. ODU also had the game's top scorer, as Derek Goodman put up 22 points and four steals, knocking down a trio of jumpers from outside. Elijah Hinton notched a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Terrance Broughton recorded 13 points and three assists, going 3-of-5 from long range.
