Fostoria library book sale set for early April start

FOSTORIA — It's again close to book sale time at Kaubisch Memorial Public Library. The spring sale at 205 Perry St., is scheduled for April 3 through 18 in the library's McClean Room. Most of the items that will be available are previously circulated books and materials from the library and donations from the public. With the first day of the sale being Good Friday, the library will be open from 9 a.m., to noon. Otherwise, the sale is scheduled for 9 a.m., to 5:45 p.m., on Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m., to 1:45 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays. A box will be available for visitors to donate the amount of cash they feel is appropriate for the items they're purchasing. Bags and boxes will be available for carrying purposes. Donations of books and DVDs that are clean and in good condition are now being accepted for the sale through March 31. Donors are asked not to take boxes of books to the library; rather, books should be placed into plastic bags and dropped off during regular library hours of 9 a.m., to 6 p.m., on Mondays through Thursdays, and 9 a.m., to 2 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays. A wide selection of books for children, young adults and adults will be available, along with books on CD and DVDs. The sale will also include miscellaneous items from the library. The Friends of Kaubisch Library will have a table set up on the first day of the sale for anyone wishing to become a member. The organization is a nonprofit with members who share a passion for books and learning. The group promotes the use and enjoyment of the library through advocacy, volunteerism and fundraising.
