Findlay announces tree limb pick-up dates, green waste site hours FINDLAY — Due to recent weather events, the Findlay Public Works Department will pick up limbs this week, from Monday through Friday. Place limbs by the curbside. No sign up is required. The green waste site, at 330 N. Cory St., also will be open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Limb pick-up and the green waste site are for use only by residents who live within city limits. Findlay participating in statewide tornado drill FINDLAY — Though perhaps a few days late for the Hancock County area, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has designated this week, March 15-21, as Severe Weather Awareness Week and is encouraging all Ohioans to be prepared for spring and summer weather hazards, including thunderstorms, high winds, tornadoes and floods. As part of the week's preparedness activities, Findlay Police Department will participate in the Ohio Statewide Tornado Drill, scheduled for 9:50 a.m. Wednesday. During the drill, outdoor tornado sirens will be activated.
